For three years, I immersed myself in a captivating documentary project, exploring diverse markets in different towns across the Dominican Republic. My aim was to capture the daily lives of those who, with effort and dedication, tirelessly work to bring food to their homes. Through my lens, I portrayed individuals committed to agriculture, valuable contributors to the local economy. These markets, filled with colors, scents, and vibrant faces, narrate tales of industriousness and resilience. Each image seeks not only to document but also to pay homage to the vitality of local communities, where the daily work of these individuals not only sustains their own lives but also enriches the agricultural and economic wealth of their towns.
